Which Badge Production Method Is Best for Me?

Embroidered Badges

Best for: Bold, simple logos
Look & feel: Textured, raised stitching with that classic patch vibe
Limitations: Small text and super-fine detail can close up
Text size: Minimum 4–5 mm high (UPPER CASE works best)
Examples: Scout badges, sports clubs, martial arts uniforms, tradie workwear

Woven Badges

Best for: Logos with fine detail or small text
Look & feel: Smooth, flat, silky finish that shows off crisp lines
Limitations: Doesn’t have the chunky, raised texture of embroidery
Text size: Minimum 2 mm high, works well for intricate fonts
Examples: School crests, detailed logos, designs with thin lines

💡 If embroidery can’t capture the detail but you don’t need photo-level colour, woven is the sweet spot.

Sublimated (Printed) Badges

Best for: Full-colour designs with gradients, shading or photographic images
Look & feel: Crisp, vibrant print that matches your artwork exactly
Limitations: No thread texture, smooth like a mini canvas
Text size: Virtually unlimited, even tiny fonts print cleanly
Examples: Event logos, colourful artwork, photo-based designs

💡 If your logo looks like it belongs on a poster, sublimation will nail it.
